The best that you will have to do as far as this is concerned I will advise that you see the insurance company face to face instead of calling because through that you will be be able to make them understand what you are looking for. On the phone they might say know because they have not understood what you are really looking for.

The answer is NO insurance is required. In this type of business only General Liability and Workers Comp could possibly be necessary, but in the future and not this point.

General Liability Coverage is a possibility if you want to buy for any issues, but not necessary and probably too expensive. If you have any issues you can be sued by a client if say you were to break their computer with lots of valuable information in it. That would be a personal suit where he/she is suing you. You can actually just draft a contract that says you are not liable for lost information and have them sign it before you begin work on the pc. Then at most you'd only be on the hook for broken hardware which you could prob just lie to them and say that it was already broken since most people who need PC repair aren't very good with computers to begin with. Also if a client were to slip and fall at your place of business (home) your homeowners insurance would cover that anyways. In this case its not even your home so you wouldn't even have to pay for that. Your landlord/owner should have this coverage because its their problem if there is an issue.

Workers comp is the other type of business insurance which you also do not need. This coverage is dependent on the way your business is set up, i.e. Corporation, Partnership, LLC, Sole Proprietorship, etc.
It seems you are a sole proprietor and pretty much just filing earnings under sched C on your tax return. You dont need this type of insurance if you do not have more than 10 employees as a sole proprietorship. Even under the other types you can exclude yourself from coverage as the only shareholder and there are no other employees who would need to be covered.

General Liability premiums are based on the total amount of sales/receipts earned for your services. I cant recall off the top of my head what the pricing would be for your industry, but probably something like $5-8 for every $1000 in services (gross receipts). Depending on what state you're in.

Workers comp is charged based on the amount of payroll your employees earn. It is probably about $5-7 for every $100 earned, again based on your location. I would advise purchasing this product when you do add employees just in case, but again not required by law.

In the US you don't need any insurance to start a business such as that...though it'd probably be smart to.

Hi Peter

I like the way you brand yourself online and offer a choice of independent income stream opportunities for wannabee Internet entrepreneurs of all ages - definitely you offer something for everyone.

Wishing you great success in your online business career

I have just registered with Ashmax as it's all over the traffic exchanges and safelists right now and is causing a huge buz!!

But like any big Pre-Launch is there real tangible long-term substance behind the initial hype?

I am trusting that that program can deliver on the hype & impressive video on the home page as I know for a fact there are a handful of excellent Internet Business opportunites and Affiliate Programs taht exist and members report excellent earnings & residual monthly income too EG YourNetBiz & Primo Vacations, MyShoppingGenie, Automatic Geek etc.

Best Wishes
Mike

Yeah, it just depends on what you're good at. Focus on those strong talents you feel confident with. You're going to have to invest a good amount of money, if you want this business to go anywhere. Start off strong.

You can start network marketing business from home. You don't have to worry about the inventory. But you must choose the right network marketing group who embrace internet marketing and provide marketing training online for members. The products, the products must be be available worldwide so you can tap to market the products worldwide. You also must know the trend of products today: eco-friendly and technology products.

Have you thought about selling your own information products on eBay. eBay already have the traffic, all you need ot do is create an information product on a subject you really care about - then write it down, it could be your favourite recipes etc, - burn it on to a CD and you have a product ready for sale, just make & burn them as you sell them .

Carl, take whatever interests you and build a website. I started mine 3 years ago to pay for vacations and trips along Lake Michigan. I researched for 2 years to find the best system to use. There are so many website hosting companies I needed proof. Go to my site www.romantic-lake-michigan.com. Take a look at my about me page.
